When Dan Garrity of Pace was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he considered traveling out of state to undergo surgery. Pancreatic cancer represents only 2 percent of all cancers, so having to travel hundreds of miles away from home to be treated is not uncommon for cancer patients across the country.

Fortunately, patients like Garrity have the option of receiving treatment for even rare types of cancer right here in Pensacola, surrounded by support networks of family and friends.
